Cookie Policy

How Veda AI uses cookies and similar technologies on its website.

Veda AI uses cookies and similar technologies to make our website work, understand how visitors use it, remember consent choices and improve the experience over time. This policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

01 · What cookies are

The basics, in plain English.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They help websites remember information, operate properly, understand how they are used and improve the browsing experience.

Websites also use similar technologies that do related jobs, such as browser local storage, pixels, tags, scripts and analytics identifiers. Where this policy refers to “cookies”, we mean cookies and these similar technologies together. On our site, for example, your cookie consent choice is stored in your browser’s local storage rather than in a cookie.

02 · How Veda uses cookies

What we use them for.

Veda may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Make the website function
  • Remember your cookie choices
  • Understand website performance
  • Measure page visits and user journeys, where you have given consent
  • Improve our content and usability
  • Keep our forms and the site secure
  • Prevent spam or misuse, where applicable

We do not use analytics or other non-essential cookies to track you before you have given consent.

03 · Types of cookies we use

Four categories, by purpose.

Rather than listing every individual file, we group cookies by what they do and whether they need your consent:

Category
Purpose
Consent required?
Essential
Core site operation, security, consent-preference storage and form protection
No, where strictly necessary
Analytics
Understanding website visits and improving performance
Yes
Marketing
Advertising, remarketing or campaign tracking, where used
Yes
Functional
Optional preferences or enhanced features
Usually yes, unless strictly necessary

Essential cookies are needed for core website functionality, security, your consent choices and form protection, and do not require consent where strictly necessary. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website and are used only where consent has been given. Functional cookies support optional preferences or features where applicable.

Veda does not currently intend to use marketing cookies unless they are clearly disclosed and require consent. The marketing row above is included so this policy stays accurate if that ever changes.

A full cookie declaration should be generated from a live site cookie scan before final launch, especially if a consent management platform is implemented.

04 · Analytics and consent

Off until you say yes.

Veda uses analytics only where consent has been given. When you first visit the site, you can choose whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. If you reject non-essential cookies, the website remains usable, although some analytics, personalisation or embedded features may not operate.

The exact analytics tools we use may change over time. When our tracking tools change, we will update this Cookie Policy and the cookie preference controls so they continue to reflect what actually runs on the site.

05 · Third-party tools

The services that help us run the site.

Veda uses trusted third-party providers to operate, measure and improve the website. Depending on the page and your consent choices, these may set or use cookies and similar technologies:

  • Vercel — website hosting and privacy-focused Web Analytics (loaded only with consent).
  • Google Tag Manager — used to manage analytics tags, loaded only with consent. Any Google analytics measurement is delivered through the Tag Manager container.
  • Ecologi — an embedded impact widget on our Environmental Policy page, which may set its own storage under Ecologi’s policies.

These third parties handle data under their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not currently use advertising or remarketing tags. If we introduce additional providers or embedded tools, we will update this policy accordingly.

06 · Managing your preferences

How to accept, reject or reset.

You can manage cookies in the following ways:

  • Accept, reject or fine-tune non-essential cookies using the consent banner shown on your first visit.
  • Review or change your choices at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer.
  • Clear existing cookies through your browser settings.
  • Block cookies through your browser settings — though blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working as expected.
07 · Consent management

How your choices are managed.

This website uses a consent management platform to manage cookie consent. When you first visit, you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or fine-tune your choices by category. Essential cookies always run; non-essential analytics and similar technologies only load once you have given consent.

You can review or change your choices at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer, which reopens the preference centre.

08 · Changes and contact

Kept current, and how to reach us.

We may update this policy as the cookies, analytics tools or consent technologies we use change. The latest version will always be shown on this page, with the review date updated accordingly.
