Social Responsibility & Community Impact

How Veda AI supports local organisations, community impact and responsible business growth as we develop.

Veda AI is a growing business, but we believe responsible business practices should start early. Our social responsibility approach is focused on supporting local organisations, helping SMEs operate better, and contributing to the communities and regional ecosystem we are part of.

01 · Our social responsibility approach

Building responsibly from the beginning.

As Veda grows, we want our work to create value beyond the projects we deliver. That means supporting organisations that make a real difference locally, using our skills where they can be useful, and building a business that contributes positively to Hull, East Yorkshire and the wider SME community.

We are not claiming to have a large corporate CSR programme. We are taking practical steps early, starting with partnerships and commitments that are relevant to who we are, where we are based, and the kind of work we do.

02 · Supporting Tigers Trust

Official Silver Partner and supplier.

Veda AI is an official Silver Partner of Tigers Trust, the registered charity affiliated with Hull City Football Club.

Tigers Trust works across Hull and East Riding to support children, young people and adults through programmes focused on health and wellbeing, education, employability, inclusion and community engagement.

As an official Silver Partner, Veda is contributing £2,500 of value to Tigers Trust. Based on Tigers Trust’s published £1-to-£21.33 social value methodology, that support has the potential to contribute more than £50,000 of local community impact.

Our agreed work also includes supporting Tigers Trust with AI policy work, providing a Business Efficiency Audit, and identifying practical quick wins or follow-on improvements where appropriate.

This work is part of an agreed partnership and supplier relationship and will be updated as delivery progresses.

03 · Local community impact

Supporting organisations that serve Hull and East Yorkshire.

Tigers Trust’s 2024 Impact Report highlights the scale of its work across the region, including support for over 45,000 people annually and programmes that create pathways through sport, education, wellbeing, employability and inclusion.

By supporting organisations like Tigers Trust, Veda aims to contribute to practical, measurable work already happening in the local community rather than creating surface-level initiatives of our own.

04 · Responsible technology and SME support

Helping businesses and organisations use technology properly.

Veda’s wider mission is to help growing SMEs reduce wasted time, improve operational clarity and use AI and automation responsibly. For us, social responsibility also means helping organisations make better technology decisions — avoiding unnecessary complexity, improving systems, and giving teams more confidence in how they work.

As AI adoption grows, we believe SMEs and community organisations should have access to practical, safe and commercially sensible guidance, not hype or confusion.

05 · Regional roots

Built in Hull, supporting the region we are part of.

Veda is based in Hull and has grown through the support of the city’s business, university and regional innovation ecosystem, including the Enterprise Centre on Cottingham Road. We are proud to be building a technology business from Hull, and we want our growth to support the region’s wider ambition, confidence and capability.

Our founder is also a Humber Freeport Future Ambassador — a regional business leadership role that reflects our commitment to the wider East Yorkshire economy.

06 · Future commitments

What we are building towards.

As Veda grows, we intend to develop our social responsibility work in a practical and proportionate way. This may include further community partnerships, skills-based support, responsible technology guidance, and structured ways to use our time, expertise and business growth to benefit local organisations.

We will only publish commitments we are prepared to act on, and we will update this page as our work develops.

07 · Review and accountability

How this policy is owned and reviewed.

This page is owned by Veda AI leadership and will be reviewed at least annually as the business grows. We will update it as partnerships are delivered, new community work is agreed, and our social responsibility approach becomes more developed.
